What we've been up to on the island...

Here are some photos of what we've been up to on the island : Me on our way to Rum Point a few weeks ago, me at Rum Point, Ross trying out the local brew. We went to Sting Ray City 2 Saturdays ago, where the process of domestication of wild animals is happening before your eyes - the particular group of sting rays has learned that although the tourist boats are loud (music thumping) and expel people who scream when the rays come up and touch them, yummy squid is soon freely available to them... The rays are amazing creatures with a soft, muscular underbelly and they come right up to you and nudge you to see if you are withholding any squid. What an experience! And I just had to stick in a picture of the blue sea - this is the of sea and beach that is opposite the office block where I'm working - I even managed to go outside to the beach today at lunchtime and phone home for a bit. Was and is pretty awesome. I can't seem to upload the pictures of the rays, so will try another time. I'm also going to put in another picture of me and some work colleagues at the Turtle Farm, examining a baby turtle - very cute.
